Here is a classic English dish the Yorkshire pudding. A dish that was originated in Yorkshire. It’s made from a batter and usually served with roast beef, chicken or any type of dish where gravy is served. Although this was once a cheap way to fill up diners it hits the perfect spot as an appetizer before a meal.
Ingredients
3/4 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
4 tablespoon of oil (corn or veggie)
Directions
Start by adding the flour, salt, eggs, milk and beat them together until it’s smooth. Make sure nothing is being sticked on the bowl your whisking in. Go ahead and refridgerate for about 2 hours and heat in the oven at 450 degrees. The oil must be measured into a 8×8x2 inch square pyrex dish / pan. Heat it for about 2 minutes and pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes. Don’t open the door. Serve right out of the oven. The Yorkshire pudding should be puffy golden fluff. It’s not usually the same as other baked dishes.
